The Escanaba Public Library has local newspapers on microfilm dating back to 1869 with the Escanaba Tribune. We also have film from the Escanaba Iron Port and the Escanaba Daily Mirror both of which were published in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. The current local paper, the Escanaba Daily Press dates from the early 1900’s to the present.
The library has an incomplete Escanaba Newspaper Index (1869-1925, 1954-1962,1970-present) available for in-house use, as well as print obituary indices from 1999 to the present.
